巳，读si第四声，与“四”音同，是地支之一，通常当为地支的第六位，其前为辰、其后为午。
巳月为农历4月，巳时为二十四小时制的09:00 - 11:00，巳在方向上指东南偏南。五行里巳代表火，阴阳学说里巳为阴。
巳有停止之意，因此亦指草木的增长达到了极限的状态。
在后世，人们为了便于记忆，因此将每一地支顺序对应每一生肖，所以巳与十二生肖的蛇配搭起来。
