鉱業（こうぎょう、mining）とは、地下資源（場合によっては地表にあるものを含む）を資源として取り出す業種である。鉄、銅、石炭、ダイアモンドや金のほかに、塩や泥、砂、大理石なども採取される。広い意味では、石油やガスの採掘も含む。
