Sylver is a Belgian vocal Trance group best known for the song "Turn the Tide". The group's vocalist is Silvy De Bie (born January 4, 1981) and keyboardist/songwriter is Wout Van Dessel (born October 19, 1974). Regi Penxten (Milk Inc) is the producer and co-songwriter. Since 2009 the group structure included also English guitarist John Miles Jr., earlier taking part in another popular Belgian vocal trance group Milk Inc. John also takes part in a writing of music and lyrics of songs.
Silvy began her musical career at age nine on the Belgian television series De Kinderacademie (The Children's Academy). Belgian law prohibiting children under 16 from working, however, put a sudden end to this career. Later, she returned with the band "Lance".
Wout is a well known Belgian DJ. He and Silvy were acquainted at the disco where he was the resident DJ.
Sylver has toured not only in its homeland of Belgium and Germany, but also North America, South Africa, Asia, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe.

The band was formed in the Year 2000 as Liquid feat. Silvy and released in France and Belgium the single "Turn the Tide" and in the rest of Europe was the song released in 2001, the Sylver hit was in Germany with their debut album Chances, including the single "Turn the Tide". The single immediately moved to number 8 in the charts, and within 8 weeks was number 2 (under Atomic Kitten's Whole Again), staying in the top 10 for 12 weeks. A month later, the album debuted at 16 and spent 49 weeks in the top 100. The single Forever In Love also made the charts.
The second album, Little Things (2003) was no less successful, with the singles "Livin' My Life" and "Why Worry".
On November 2, 2004, the third album, Nighttime Calls, was released. The first single from this album, "Love is an Angel", hit the Belgian top 10 immediately upon its release on September 20.
In addition to synthesizer and drum machine, Sylver uses guitar, piano, and percussion instruments. The album Crossroads was released in May 2006. The major track is Lay All Your Love On Me from ABBA.
Sylver has released their sixth album Sacrifice, which was released 8 May 2009 in Belgium. The album peaked at #3 on the Belgian album charts. The band also was awarded the TMF award for "Best Album - Nationally" for 2009 for Sacrifice.
