Pluvius

In Roman mythology, Jupiter Pluvius was the reliever of droughts. See Jupiter (god) for more details. The name could also be used to describe the Hyades.

In Frank O'Connor's Guest's of the Nation The old woman blames the drought entirely on Jupiter Pluvius.
