Nysiads

The Nysiads or Nysiades (Νυσιάδες) were the nymphs who cared for and taught the infant Dionysus. They included Kallichore and Calyce (after whom the lunar craters Kallichore and Kalyke are named).

In some later tellings of Dionysus's infancy, the Nysiades are associated with the Hyades or, as a collective term, for the Pleiades and the Hyades as Dionysus's tutors.
