This is a list of the first-level administrative divisions of the People's Republic of China (PRC), including all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, in order of their total gross domestic product per capita in 2008. The figures are given in Renminbi. In 2008, 1 US dollar converts to just a little under 7 Renminbi by exchange rates, and is estimated by the International Monetary Fund to be equivalent to about 3.694 Renminbi by purchasing power parity (though prices vary from region to region within China).

The Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau, which maintain separate economic systems and separate currencies, are shown below for comparison purposes. The Republic of China (Taiwan), with de facto democratic self-governance, is shown below for comparison purposes as well. These figures are shown in US Dollars based on purchasing power parity estimated by the IMF in 2008. Their figures are shown in US Dollars based on purchasing power parity estimated by the IMF in 2008.
