Jonathan Hale


Jonathan Hale (21 March 1891 – 28 February 1966) was a Canadian-born film and television actor. He committed suicide in 1966.

Career

He was well known as Dagwood Bumstead's boss, Julius Caesar Dithers, in the Blondie film series in the 1940s. He is also notable for playing Inspector Farnack in various The Saint films by RKO Pictures.

Fans of the TV series Adventures of Superman remember Hale for key roles in two different episodes:

Hale is buried in Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood, California.

Also, non related to the Jonathan Hale of film, another Jonathan Hale is a classic game player, Born 8th October 1973 in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, aged 35 (at time of writing) who holds several world records at Twin Galaxies, the official site for gaming world records [1]
