Frankley is an area near the Birmingham/Worcestershire border in England, near Bartley Reservoir. The modern Frankley estate is part of the New Frankley civil parish, and has been part of Birmingham since 1995.

The Parish of Frankley is on the Worcestershire side, and is in Bromsgrove District.[clarification needed], It included what is now the parish of New Frankley until 1995, and has a population of 122. [1]

Frankley, recently expanded by the Great Park development, was intended to have a railway station through extention of the old line beyond the disused freight line serving Longbridge through the old Rover car works. The intention was long stated in the West Midlands Local Transport Plan and in Birmingham's UDP. After deciding that 'providing for' a fast bus link was better than having trains, the intention to eliminate the railway formed a part of the 2008 Longbridge Area Action Plan.
