Cécile Aubry (born 3 August 1928) is a retired French film actress, author, television screenwriter and director. She appeared in the 1950 British film The Black Rose alongside Tyrone Power and Orson Welles. She retired from acting after her marriage to Thami El Glaoui, caïd (local administrator) of Telouet and son of T'hami El Glaoui, pasha of Marrakech. They later divorced.
She is especially famous in France for her TV series for children, Poly (a boy and a horse) and Belle et Sébastien, adapted for television from her books. The main character in both series was played by her son Mehdi El Glaoui, only credited as Mehdi.[1]
