The AirPort Utility, formerly called AirPort Admin Utility, is a utility that allows users to configure an AirPort Wi-Fi Base Station to create a wireless network and manage USB-attached devices. It is built in to Mac OS X and is available for download for Windows XP and Windows Vista.
AirPort utility uses a protocol called "ACPP" and connects to the AirPort base station on TCP Port 5009 via IPv6 or IPv4. The protocol is not publicly documented.
