26th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (2nd Hungarian)

The 26th Waffen-Grenadier Division der SS was one of the thirty-eight divisions fielded by the Waffen-SS during World War II. It had a proper name as well as a number, Hungaria. It was formed very late in the war, recruited primarily from Hungarians, and thus bore the secondary designation ungarische Nr. 2 ("Hungarian #2).
