Oblast největšího rozšíření Turků v současnosti
Turci (turecky Türk, pl. Türkler) jsou národ, který žije převážně v Turecku (cca 80 milionů), na Balkánském poloostrově (cca více než 1 milion), na Kypru a hlavně v Německu, kam v padesátých letech mohutně emigrovali a pomáhali s obnovou válkou zničené země. Většina Turků je sunnitského vyznání islámu.
Osmané jsou Turci, kteří útočili na území bývalého Uherska v 16. a 17. století. (Viz Osmanská říše).
