Alexander VI, ȝeboren Rodrigo Borgia (1 Æfterra Ȝēola, 1431 – 18 Ƿēodmōnaþ, 1503) pāpa (1492-1503), is the most memorable of the secular popes of the Renaissance. Hē ƿæs ȝeboren æt Xàtiva, València, Spēonlande, and his fæder tōnama ƿæs Lanzol or Llancol; that of his mother's family, Borgia or Borja, was assumed by him on the elevation of his maternal uncle to the papacy as Callixtus III (8 Ēastermōnaþ, 1455).
